Kara Hugglestone is an accomplished communications professional with more than 15 years strategic marketing experience in the areas of consulting, design, wine, transportation and travel/tourism.

Most recently she has focused on the design industry, working in product design, marketing and sales forKara Hugglestone furniture manufacturers, showrooms, design firms and her own accessory line. Notable employers include the upscale French brand Grange and ultra premium outdoor line Summit. Previously, she ran her own communications practice in Washington, DC with such varied clients as The American Society of International Law, Italian Source (gourmet food and wine tours of Italy) and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She also did extensive work for a national transportation consortium and an international travel agency where she developed an array of sales, marketing and advertising programs.

 Strategic Marketing San FranciscoServing as the Vice President of Sponsorship for the San Francisco Chapter of American Marketing Association (SFAMA) 2011-2012, Kara revitalized the sponsorship program by dramatically enhancing program offerings: designing corporate, in-kind, venue and food and beverage sponsorships and recruiting talented chairs to work them. As a result SFAMA is enjoying a revenue stream not seen since 2005.

Kara is probably most celebrated for creating the exciting new food and beverage sponsorship program featuring premium wine and beer brands and leading restaurants and markets. SFAMA content events now feature F&B sponsors such as Arrowood Vineyards, Cornerstone Cellars, Heitz Cellars, Anchor Brewing, Stella Artois and Whole Foods, yet another reason for record-breaking event attendance last year. She also coordinated and executed social media promotion of wine sponsors.

In her spare time she is an avid sailor, traveler and wine enthusiast. Sometimes when she is really lucky, she is able to combine two or more of these passions.
